The high school football game tomorrow night at Northwest Hughesville has been pushed back to start @ 7:30pm.

Reminder-There will be sports physicals at the High School for grades 6-12 on Aug. 29th. Physical forms need to be turned into Mrs. Chiddix by tomorrow. If you have any questions, please call the High School.

The first day of school is tomorrow! We are happy to inform you that the circle drive in front of the high school will be accessible. Please enter the circle drive at the cafeteria (North) entrance, this will be a one way lane to use for student drop off. Note that Mitchell will be closed from 2nd to 4th street tomorrow. Thank you!

Due to the excessive heat. High School & Junior High Football will practice tomorrow morning (8/22/23) from 6:00-7:30am with helmets/pads (be careful on the drive in) AND High School ONLY will practice after school from 3:30-4:30pm inside.

Junior High Volleyball & Football practices are cancelled for today. We will plan to meet with Junior High athletes and parents tomorrow from 3:30-4pm in the cafeteria. Please park on the North Side of the building.

Congratulations to Molly Malter for being selected the reserve champion barrow at the Missouri State fair. Molly will sell in the Sale of Champions on the last day of the fair. Congratulations to Molly on all your hard work!


Freshman & Senior Parents/Students: due to additional work on the athletic parking lot, you now need to park in the gravel lot next to the bus barn. Please use the NEW sidewalk to enter at the entrance by the Library. Freshman-6pm Seniors 7:30pm

School begins TUESDAY, August 22 for all students PK4 - 12th grade. PK3 Students will begin on Wednesday, August 23.

Any current or incoming FFA members that would like to exhibit projects for the State Fair next week please bring to the agriculture building Sunday, August 6, from 4-6pm. Items can be field crops, fruits and vegetables, flowers, woodworking and metal working projects. Questions please refer to the link in the newsletter sent out earlier this summer or contact Mrs. Schreiman. All members are eligible to exhibit!

Junior High Football Camp will be August 3rd & 4th from 6-7:30pm at the High School football field.

Pictured is KMMO Larry Smith interviewing Molly Malter at the District FFA Fair on July 10th in Warrensburg. Along with showing Swine Molly is also the Area VI Secretary and had officer duties at the fair as part of her officer position. Molly's interview was live on KMMO that day. This is a great way to learn public speaking skills to become comfortable in that environment.

Both girls had a great day at the District FFA Fair Goat show with Sophia placing 1st in her class with her Market Goat. Karlea placed 1st with her Senior Doe, 4th with her Junior Doe, 3rd with her Junior Doe, 1st with her Yearling Doe, and 2nd place with her Market Goat.
Sophia and Karlea Sheep Show- Pictured is Karlea (first from left) and Sophia Bolser showing their Sheep at the District FFA Fair in Warrensburg on July 10th. Karlea placed 1st with her Ram and she was also Breed Champion. She placed 1st with her Yearling Ewe and was also the Reserve Breed Champion. Sophia had the Grand Champion Suffolk Ewe, 2nd place with her Yearling Ewe, Reserve Suffolk Ram, and 2nd place with her Market Lamb. It was a great day in the Sheep ring for the Bolser girls!
