On Friday, October 25th the Santa Fe FFA members traveled to Louisville Kentucky while at the National FFA Convention to tour the Louisville Slugger Bat Company. It was a very interesting tour, where members saw some of their favorite players' bats being made. Members were able to take a tour of the horse racing complex and see where the annual Kentucky Derby is held. Pictured is Evan Finkeldei and Emmett Finkeldei; 2024 Santa Fe FFA American Degree Recipients. They traveled to Indianapolis, IN and received their degree on October 26th on stage at Lucas Oil Stadium. Michael Dierking, Carter Fuehring, Atleigh Lark, and Reid Monsees also received their degrees, but were unable to travel to Indiana to receive their award. Only 1% of the National FFA membership receives their American FFA Degree, which is the highest degree the National FFA Organization can bestow upon its members.

The High School has a drop box for non working Christmas lights located at the cafeteria entrance, you may bring them during school hours or during home sporting events. The Lafayette County Enterprises, Inc will collect and recycle the lights. There is also a drop off location at 109 W 19th St. in Higginsville.

At the basketball game this Friday @ Northwest, they will be recognizing both Northwest and Santa Fe teams from 1974 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of their gym. We invite any 1974-75 Alumni that played basketball to attend the game to be recognized between games. They will also be hosting a senior dinner, the flyer is attached with the information.


Meyer Music's Step Up Instrument Night for grades 7-12, is on Thursday 11/21 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the High School Library.

FFA Greenhand and Chapter Degree Ceremony tonight in the Old Gym at 7pm. Please enter through the commons doors. All freshmen and sophomore FFA members should be in attendance and wearing Official FFA Dress. Parents and family are invited also! Any questions contact Mrs. Schreiman.
