Santa Fe Ag Department

Pictured are students in the Agriculture Science II class planting surprise lily bulbs that were given to the department by a community member.  This was a great landscaping activity for the class!

Pictured above  is Evans Finkeldei, Landon Hostetter, and Emmett Finkeldei helping pack boxes at the Shepherds Food Pantry in Waverly on October 1 for their Saturday pantry events. FFA has been helping the first three Thursdays of the month. 

Pictured are FFA members sacking and preparing the Harvest Care packages that were taken to the local elevators for farmers and elevator workers during this busy harvest season.  Packages included snacks that could be enjoyed on the go!


Pictured is Landon Hostetter shooting along with the rest of the Santa Fe FFA #2 trap shoot team.  This was the first area FFA trap shoot for the year.  These are held at Sedalia Rod and Gun Club in Sedalia.

Pictured is Santa Fe FFA members along with Alma Lions Club members with the many bags of trash that they picked up on Sunday, October 4. They picked up trash  along the Lions Club Adopt A Highway  area on 20 highway.

Pictured is the Agriculture Science II class displaying their bug boxes they made in class. Students caught bugs and then identified each insect.  Each student then created a collection box to display.

Pictured is the Horticulture class displaying the greenhouses they constructed after learning about greenhouse structures in class. They added all the features that a real greenhouse has to their models and presented them to their classmates.  This was a fun project.
