Welcome to all our new and returning students! It is with great enthusiasm that we prepare for another exciting school year. Our focus remains steadfast: ensuring every student who walks through our doors is given an equal opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment—one that supports academic, physical, and social-emotional growth.

With optimism and sincerity, I welcome you to our school family. This year’s theme, “One Team, One Dream—Bring Your A Game,” reflects our shared commitment to excellence. Together, we’re going to make this year outstanding!

As principal, I am truly honored to serve in a district rich in tradition, where parents, teachers, staff, and students work together to foster a positive and supportive educational environment. We are fortunate to be part of a community that values education and demonstrates that commitment through high-quality curricular and co-curricular programs throughout our district.

We believe that strong school-home partnerships are essential for student success. I also send out a monthly newsletter to share updates, upcoming events, and highlights from our school community. Be sure to keep us informed of any changes to your contact information so we can maintain clear and open lines of communication.

Programs and Opportunities
Santa Fe Elementary serves students from 3-year-old preschool through sixth grade. We offer a variety of support and enrichment programs, including:

• Gifted Education (Learning Links)

• Title I Reading

• Math Club (Grades 4–6)

• Student Council

• Beginning and 6th Grade Band

• Tutoring across all grade levels

Fifth and sixth graders can also participate in athletics, including volleyball, basketball, and track. In addition, our comprehensive Character Education Program highlights monthly character traits and celebrates students selected as "Chiefs of the Month" for demonstrating exemplary character.

Behavior Support and Student Growth
We adhere to the basics of B.I.S.T. (Behavior Intervention Support Team) Program, a proactive system of behavior management. This approach helps students develop responsibility and accountability, while also supporting their ability to make healthy, productive choices. Centered on the principle of “grace with accountability,” B.I.S.T. empowers students to grow emotionally and socially in a safe, structured environment.

Supporting the Whole Child
We recognize the connection between physical development and cognitive growth. Our Sensory Room, under the guidance of a certified occupational therapist, helps students meet their sensory needs, promoting focus and emotional regulation. Our Motor Lab, available to all students, supports essential motor and coordination skills that improve classroom performance, including handwriting, attention, and self-control.

Family and Community Involvement
We are proud to have an active and supportive Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O.), as well as strong relationships with community partners. Their generous support enhances our students' school experiences. We encourage every family to get involved—you are an essential part of our success!

Building the Foundation for Lifelong Success
One of our most important goals is to help our students build a positive self-image by becoming more responsible and resourceful. Research shows that children who believe in themselves learn more effectively and are better prepared for life’s challenges. We aim to provide opportunities for students to make choices, learn from mistakes, and grow into confident, capable individuals.

Our district motto, “Santa Fe PRIDE – Personal Responsibility In Developing Excellence,” guides everything we do. We strive to model and instill pride in our students each and every day.
