On August 12, FFA Advisors brought members projects to the Missouri State Fair Directors Pavilion to be judged in a drive through contest with all projects being taken home the same day due to COVID restrictions and the FFA building not being open on the fairgrounds. Later in the week members were able to show their livestock.
Below are a few of the entries and their awards.
Pictured above is Kameron Dankenbring with her Grand Champion Peaches that she entered into the Missouri State Fair FFA Division. Kameron picked these peaches in the orchard that her family owns and she helps to operate.
Pictured is Joscie Curry with the Reserve Champion Peaches that she entered into the Missouri State Fair FFA Division. Joscie picked these peaches at her family's orchard where she works.
Pictured is Sophia Bolser showing her 3-6 month percentage Doe at the Missouri State Fair on Monday August 17. Sophia also showed in Showmanship this day. Sophia placed 6th in the class with her Doe.
Pictured is Molly Malter showing her Red Angus Heifer at the Missouri State Fair on August 19. Molly got first place in her division and in this picture she is competing in the Champion drive. Molly is a member of the Malta Bend Work to Win 4-H Club and the Santa Fe FFA Chapter.
Pictured is Sophia Bolser showing her Suffolk Market Lamb on August 13 at the Missouri State Fair while the judge evaluates all animals. Sophia has two market lambs in this class and placed 7th and 10th. She also showed Suffolk Yearling Ewes and placed 2nd, 4th, and 5th in this division and also showed a Junior Ram Lamb that she placed 4th with. Sophia is a member of the Lucky Leaf 4-H club in Blackburn and the Santa Fe FFA Chapter.
Pictured is Molly Malter showing one of her Barrows at the Missouri State Fair on August 14. Molly showed a total of three Barrows placing 3rd once and second twice. Molly will also be showing a gilt at the State Fair before the completion of the 2020 Missouri State Fair. Molly is a member of the Work to Win 4-H Club in Malta Bend and the Santa Fe FFA Chapter.
