Honorary Degree- Pictured is Laretta Wilsie, 2020 Santa Fe FFA Honorary Degree member with FFA officers President Kennedy Dankenbring and Vice-President Callie Fuehring. Laretta helps to sell vegetables and flowers at her store Old Time General Store in Concordia for the agriculture department. She goes above and beyond to make sure that the chapter makes a profit and promotes the vegetables and plants to everyone that comes into her store. The chapter is very thankful for her dedication and support!
Jacob Area VI Star Farmer is the 2020 Area VI Star Farmer. Jacob was also selected as a Missouri State Top 4 Star Farmer Finalist at the first round of virtual State FFA Convention announcements. Jacob then completed a virtual zoom interview with a panel of judges who selected the State Star Farmer. This will be announced at the second round of virtual State FFA Convention announcements which starts this week Tuesday June 16 and Star awards are being announced on Thursday June 18. This award recognition is based on Jacob's FFA involvement in high school and beyond and a large portion is based upon his SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience). The application for this award was very extensive and is very competitive on all levels.
